The Lord gave us a song, so sing it LOUD!

It’s a very natural response for God’s people to praise and worship God when His faithfulness is manifested towards us in our time of need. It’s during this song of worship that Israel revealed a glimpse of the cross of Christ. Let’s remember that it’s through the cross God met our greatest needs!

1. Salvation

Ex. 15:2 “The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation:

he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.”

2. Redemption

V13 “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.”

3. Eternal fellowship

V17 “Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance,

in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.”

LESSON - Much like the children of Israel, we were enslaved by sin before we were saved. God sent his Son, the Lord Jesus to free us from sin and lead us into eternal fellowship with Him. Try to remember this the next time you are involved in corporate worship. Let your heart sing aloud to the One who has saved you and redeemed you so that you might be able to enjoy fellowship with Him, now and forever!
